This landmark event brought together six leading OEMs from across three continents to demonstrate the real-world interoperability of IEEE 1901-based Broadband over Power Line (BPL) technologies.
As a long-standing advocate of Nessum Power Line Communication (PLC) in smart grid and smart infrastructure, ECOLINQX showcased how its solutions enable reliable data transmission, comprehensive network transparency, and scalable architectures for utilities worldwide. The demonstration highlighted seamless interaction among devices from multiple manufacturers, underscoring the maturity of the Nessum standard and its critical role in future-proofing smart grid infrastructures.
Interoperability as the Cornerstone of Smart Infrastructures
The Plugfest showed that interoperability is now possible among different manufacturers. By enabling devices from diverse OEMs to communicate over unified powerline networks, ECOLINQX and its partners demonstrated how Nessum technology supports advanced applications such as:

ECOLINQX joined GE Vernova, Power Plus Communication AG, and Teldat to showcase Nessum-enabled products powered by chipsets from MegaChips and Socionext, with MAC/PHY IP from Panasonic.
